Eco-Symbolist Art was first actualized in 2018 as a way to visually express the direr ecological situation that humans have created in our inability to live in harmony with nature and is fundamentally a love letter to our mother; Earth.

Through the use of symbols from nature Eco-Symbolism brings awareness to ecological issues with a broad breadth and depth. Not only does Eco-Symbolists' focus on conservation but also how patriarchal systems, often reinforced by major religions, have long upheld a worldview of domination- of man over woman, humans over nature. This hierarchy taught that the Earth exists to serve mankind, not as a living system but as a resource to exploit. Capitalism evolved from this mindset, valuing land, labor, and life only in terms of profit. Environmental destruction isn’t accidental- it’s the inevitable result of a system built on control, extraction, and profit, rather than reciprocity, care, and respect for life.
